In 2022 the need was perceived for a facility for the local community to use on the Navigation site. From discussions with Cardiff University it was decided that grant monies obtained by the University would be used for the purchase of a suitable demountable classroom building, or similar, dependent upon the cost.
The funding was provided by the "Cardiff University Innovation for All Funding"With the help and involvement of ARC two shipping containers were obtained and then transformed on site to one large “classroom” space as the picture alongside shows.
Whilst it has taken a while to complete the work the classroom is nearly ready for occupation and the team at ARC have worked hard to create an amazing space!
