In 2017, Glofa Navigation Cyf and Friends of the Navigation were awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to set up the Crumlin Navigation Oral History Project (COHP). It aims to collect and record stories about from miners and others who worked in the Crumlin Navigation and other local collieries as well as stories about what life was like in the area in the 1960s and before.
