TREE REPLANTING
When the railway bridge was being replaced at the bottom end of the Navigation site last year, it was necessary that some rather large trees were cut down for access purposes.
It was very heartening therefore to see that AmcoGiffen were replacing some 100 trees back on the area in early March this year on both sides of the railway track.
In these days of climate change and global warming and our further understanding of how important trees, shrubs and greenery has become, its a small but significant effort to put right an area of woodland.
The pathway to Crumlin has also been renewed and the pictures below show both the path and tree renewal.
