On the 3rd July a team from Unilever, Pot Noodle factory, in Crumlin held a “giving back to the community day” and offered their services to Friends of the Navigation. We are very grateful for all the hard work carried out despite a little inclement weather which did not appear to dampen their enthusiasm. The main thrust of work completed included the filling of sandbags ready for use in the collapsed culvert - over 4 tons of sand was shifted during the day!
Other tasks which were equally impressive included litter picking, preparation of our welfare cabin for repainting and moving of overspill of stone and wood. A huge thank you to all involved.
